It's not every day a school has MUSC Health's MEDUCARE helicopter on campus. As a special treat, Cane Bay High's public service CTE classes received a visit from multiple emergency and first responder vehicles for CTE Month.
Students were able to tour a Whitesville firetruck and MUSC's pediatric ambulance, but the highlight of the day was the MEDUCARE helicopter. The helicopter flew in around 10 a.m. and took off again roughly 15 minutes later to respond to an emergency.
As students gave the MUSC Critical Care Team a wide berth for takeoff, teachers and administrators reminded them that this is the everyday reality of a career in emergency services. You're always on call.
